First Congregational Church is proud to be an all inclusive, affirming congregation.  All are invited to worship with us, regardless of religious or ethnic background, race, gender identity, economic status, sexual orientation, mental or physical ability.

Throughout its history, First Congregational has been at the forefront of social justice for all people. The Congregational denomination was the first denomination to ordain women and people of color as well as gay men, lesbians, and transgendered individuals. On the local level, our church archives are filled with newspaper clippings from Albany newspapers (dating back to the 1800s) celebrating stories of First Congregational Church speaking up for those in need, and demanding equality for all God's people.

We are a handicapped-accessible facility and welcome you to join us in celebrating our rich diversity.
